UCSB Give Day 2023

We did it! Congratulations to each of our donors, and special thank you to Trustee Chuck and Merryl Zegar and the Zegar Family Foundation for their transformative generosity. Their challenge gift will go to the Arts & Lectures Justice for All Series ($100,000) and “Mapping Climate Effects on Marine Species Distributions to Drive More Resilient Ocean Management," Bren School research at Dangermond Preserve ($685,000).

We did it! Thank you to Beverly Colgate for her $5,000 gift to the Women's Athletics Excellence Fund. This fund provides critical, flexible funding for academic support, career and leadership development, sports medicine, sports performance, and facility enhancement resources for all of UC Santa Barbara's women's athletics programs.

The UCSB Promise Scholars Program provides financial security and enhanced services and support to a select cohort of low-income, high-achieving students who are often first-generation, underrepresented, enabling them to succeed and thrive in college and beyond. Thank you UC Santa Barbara Foundation Trustee Judy '63,'65 and Jack Stapelmann for their support of our Promise Scholars.

Thank you to Trustee Claudia '75 and Alec '76 Webster for their gift through the Helen and Will Webster Foundation! Their gift will support GGSE Community Fellowships to foster a diverse, local education workforce. Community Fellowships provide graduate students from Santa Barbara and neighboring regions with full fellowships to support access to high quality graduate education and professional preparation, and facilitate the fellows’ placements into jobs in our regions’ schools, school districts, and youth-serving organizations upon completion of their graduate degrees.

We did it! The entire $3,000 match from our anonymous alum donor have been claimed.
