The first priority of the Division of Student Affairs is to cultivate lifelong leaders and learners who recognize and appreciate the dignity of individuals and communities here at UC Santa Barbara and beyond.
The Student Affairs Division embodies the belief that learning is not confined solely within traditional classroom boundaries.
There are a number of non-academic departments within the division that exist to serve the student body. These include everything from Admissions and Financial Aid to Student Health, Counseling & Psychological Services, Career Services, the Multi-Cultural Center, Campus Learning Assistance Services and the Children's Center—more than 20 departments in all.
Within these departments, students can find academic and personal support; recreational, social, and cultural activities; plus leadership programs and internship opportunities.
Alumni, parents, families, and friends who want to make a positive and meaningful impact on the UC Santa Barbara student experience contribute to the Division of Student Affairs Special Initiatives Fund. At the discretion of the vice chancellor for Student Affairs, the fund supports ongoing Student Affairs programs and provides a critical resource needed to respond to emerging campus issues.
Please join us to ensure every student at UC Santa Barbara has the tools to succeed!
