Global & Experiential Learning
Two Journeys in Global Experiential Learning

The Education Abroad Program (EAP) is UC Santa Barbara’s gateway to the world, providing opportunities for students to study in over 40 countries. Studying abroad is more than an augmentation of classroom knowledge — it encompasses valuable experiences of difference and exploring assumptions about the self and others in new settings. The outcome is a transformation that shapes student lives for years to come.

UC Santa Barbara continues to be a program leader for the University of California system, having sent over 1,200 students this year with even more expected in 2024-25.

The UCSB Capital Internship Program provides students with the unique opportunity to explore our culturally diverse state and national capitals, Sacramento and Washington, D.C., while simultaneously offering crucial career experience. Whether it's policy, art, activism, or science, our capitals have so much to offer!

Support from EAP and Capital Internship alumni, friends, and parents like you makes these dreams a reality. Your gifts are extremely important to the success of these programs and the resources we can make available to our students. Students apply for these experiential learning opportunities each year and then withdraw due to financial need. We hope you will help us change that today on Give Day.

Please consider making a gift today so that the transformative EAP and Capital Internship journeys are available to every UC Santa Barbara student!
