Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. All gifts to the university, including gifts made through this site, are eligible for tax deduction as prescribed by law. Upon fulfilling your online gift, you will receive an email that will function as a tax receipt.
Is there a minimum or maximum gift amount?
We can accept gifts from $10 to $25,000 online. If you would like to make a gift that doesn't fall in this range, please call (805) 893-4351.
What areas can I support?
We encourage you to view participating areas on the main page and find an area that you connect with. If you don't see a specific fund you would like to support, visit our main giving page to explore additional giving options. Gifts made at giving.ucsb.edu will also count towards UCSB Give Day totals.
Can I make a gift by mail or by phone?
Since UCSB Give Day is one day only, we encourage you to make your gift online. You may call (805) 893-4351 to reach a student representative, who will facilitate a gift by phone.
Is it safe to make a gift online?
Yes. UC Santa Barbara takes significant measures to ensure that all donor information is safe and secure. If you're at all concerned, you can call our help line at (805) 893-4351 and speak to one of our student representatives.
What are matching and trigger gifts?
Matching gifts motivate greater participation by offering donors the opportunity to double the impact of their contribution during special times when matching gifts are available. Trigger gifts are celebratory gifts unlocked when a certain number of donors are achieved. Only gifts made on Give Day will be eligible for Match and Trigger programs, so make sure to check the UCSB Give Day page to see how to make your gift go the farthest!
